Dr. Lesya Mytsak, a radiation oncologist at Precarpathian Cancer Center, started a 3-week long observership at radiation oncologydepartment of University of California, Irvine. Many thanks to Dr. Allen Chen and UCI faculty and staff for training Dr. Mytsak and UICC grant for Global Medical Knowledge Alliance and Help Ukraine Group (HUG) for funding the observership and #ASTRO23 travel.
We wish Dr. Mytsak productive weeks ahead and receptive colleagues back home at КНП Прикарпатський клінічний онкологічний центр to transfer the acquired knowledge.Dr. Mytsak’s cancer center is transitioning from Co-60 to IMRT/VMAT which would require nearly a quantum jump in radiation oncology knowledge. We are grateful to UCI for helping out in this transition!
